Professional Carpet Cleaning That Restores, Not Just Refreshes

Vacuuming only removes what sits on the surface. Years of trodden-in dirt, spills, pet dander, dust mites and allergens live deep in the carpet pile — and only professional steam cleaning gets them out. Our technicians use commercial hot water extraction machines that inject hot cleaning solution deep into the fibres and extract it instantly, lifting out dirt your vacuum has never touched.

The same deep-clean treatment works on your soft furnishings too: our upholstery cleaning revives sofas, armchairs and dining chairs, and our mattress cleaning removes dust mites and sweat residue from the place you spend a third of your life. Every visit includes pre-treatment, individual stain treatment and deodorising — at one fixed price per room or seat.

  • Hot water extraction (true steam cleaning)
  • Individual stain & odour treatment included
  • Carpets, rugs, sofas, armchairs & mattresses
  • Child- & pet-safe professional solutions

The Essential Guide

What Is Steam Cleaning?

Steam cleaning — known professionally as hot water extraction (HWE) — is the deep-cleaning method recommended by most carpet manufacturers and specified in most tenancy agreements. A commercial machine injects hot water and cleaning solution deep into the carpet pile under pressure, agitates the fibres, then immediately extracts the water along with dissolved dirt, bacteria, dust mites, allergens and odours.

This is fundamentally different from the supermarket rental machines and "dry cleaning" powders. Rental machines lack the water temperature, pressure and — most importantly — extraction power of commercial equipment, often leaving carpets soggy for days and detergent residue in the pile that actually attracts dirt faster. Professional steam cleaning rinses everything out, leaving carpets genuinely clean and touch-dry in 2–4 hours.

The same hot water extraction process is what makes our upholstery cleaning so effective on sofas and armchairs: fabric is pre-treated, deep cleaned and extracted using upholstery-specific tools, reviving colour and removing the body oils, food marks and odours that build up with daily use.

Carpet Cleaning FAQs

How much does carpet cleaning cost?

Our professional carpet cleaning costs £30 per room, with no hidden fees — pre-treatment, stain treatment and professional steam cleaning are all included. Upholstery cleaning is £20 per seat and mattress cleaning £25 per mattress. You see your exact fixed price when you book online.

What is steam cleaning and how does it work?

Steam cleaning — properly called hot water extraction — injects hot water and professional cleaning solution deep into carpet fibres under pressure, then immediately extracts it along with dissolved dirt, stains, allergens and odours. It is the deep-cleaning method recommended by most carpet manufacturers and required by many tenancy agreements.

How long does carpet take to dry after steam cleaning?

Most carpets are touch-dry in 2–4 hours and fully dry within 4–6 hours. Our machines extract the vast majority of moisture, and opening windows or using heating speeds things up. Upholstery typically dries in 3–5 hours.

Can you remove old stains and pet odours?

We treat each stain individually before steam cleaning — coffee, wine, food, mud and most pet stains respond very well. Hot water extraction also removes the bacteria that cause pet and damp odours rather than masking them. Very old or bleach-damaged stains may have permanently altered the fibre colour, and we will always tell you honestly on arrival what result to expect.

Is steam cleaning safe for children and pets?

Yes. We use professional, child- and pet-safe cleaning solutions, and hot water extraction rinses residues out of the carpet rather than leaving them in. Once the carpet is dry it is completely safe for crawling babies and pets.

Do I need professional carpet cleaning for my end of tenancy?

Many tenancy agreements specifically require carpets to be professionally cleaned at check-out, and a receipt is often requested as proof. You can book carpet cleaning on its own, or add it to our end of tenancy cleaning for £30 per room in the same visit.

Do you move furniture?

Our technicians move light furniture such as chairs, coffee tables and small units, clean beneath, and replace them. We do not move heavy or fragile items like wardrobes, pianos, beds with slats, or electronics — please clear small items from the floor before we arrive.

How often should carpets be professionally cleaned?

Carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning every 12–18 months for the average home, every 6–12 months for homes with children, pets or allergy sufferers, and more frequently for high-traffic commercial carpets.
